Adorbs Animal Nails! ^.^

After my mastering the bunny and the bear, I decided to try my hand at making more animal nail art. I thought, “why not?” I knew that if it turned out well, my nails would be a success. If not, I could always erase them and no one would ever know about them.

As you can see, they turned out super kawaii! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧

For the cat, you will need:

• orange nail polish
• brown nail polish
• black nail polish
• pink nail polish
• dotting tool (a toothpick will suffice)

Draw a French tip with the orange nail polish. It should be thicker than a regular French tip because it will make up for the cat’s face. 

Use the edge of the brush to create two sharp ears. These ears should be pointed, not rounded like the bear or bunny ears. I would suggest making two triangles.

Color in the ears with pink nail polish using the dotting tool. My pink was a tad close to my orange so you can’t really notice it in the picture. 

Draw two stripes with the brown nail polish using the dotting tool. Remember to wipe the tool off after you use the pink nail polish. I added a shimmery copper on top of it because my brown was a little too similar to black. 

Dot two eyes with the black nail polish. I like to eyeball where the eyes will be before creating the dots to make sure that they will look proportional to the face. 

Dot a nose with the pink nail polish. The nose I made was a total fail because I tried using a red cus the pink was too light…

Sketch two thing whiskers on the side with the black nail polish. Be sure that there is only a bit of nail polish on the dotting tool or else the whiskers will turn out chunky.

For the lion, you will need:

• orange nail polish
• yellow nail polish
• black nail polish
• brown nail polish
• dotting tool 

Using the flat edge of the brush, create large dots. The dots should be in the general shape of a circle. Each bump should be distinguishable because this will form the lion’s mane. I left the inner part open because it will be filled in with the cats face. 

Fill in the empty space with the yellow nail polish and create two ears with the flat edge. I later learned that it’s easier to create ears with the dotting tool for the lion..

Color in the ears with pink nail polish using the dotting tool. This is the same step for all the other animals as well.

Dot two eyes with the black nail polish using the dotting tool. I tried making the eyes circular but they ended up uneven so I changed them to elliptical. 

Create an oval for the nose with the brown nail polish using the dotting tool. Circle noses don’t look good with elliptical eyes, so yeah. 

Sketch two whiskers. Like for the cat, the lines should be thin.
