Friends, please take a moment to consider this little plea.
Earlier this year, KISS Theatre was evicted from our Wyoming Valley Mall location in favor of a chain restaurant. We were not past-due on any bills. We were never late with our rent. The mall management agency simply saw a more lucrative investment in a restaurant and they gave us a 90 day notice.
With the help of so many loyal friends, we’ve found a new home in a new shopping plaza: The East End Center, owned and managed by Joe Amato Properties. We’ve raised $50,000 of our $175,000 goal. While that’s an impressive number, if we don’t continue to steadily raise funds, construction must cease.
I know there are more dire circumstances in everyone else’s life that require monetary attention and I know there are far more desperate causes. That’s why we’re trying to keep things small.
Today, we’ve launched our one-day fundraising blitz! $25 from 2,500 friends on July 25th.
If you can give $25, we’d so greatly appreciate it. If money is an issue for you (believe me, I get it) please reblog this post in hopes of it making its way to the dashboard of someone who can.
KISS (based in Wilkes Barre, PA) is a non-profit community children’s theatre offering educational performance opportunities for kids ages 4-18. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive environment. No child is ever turned away.
Please help us by sharing and/or donating. We need to preserve places like this that encourage community, collaboration, and creativity for generations to come.
