RAINYMOOD*
Listen to the sounds of a thunderstorm while you’re working.
Website (also software, but the software costs $10) that forces you to write…or else.
Lightweight to-do list; can categorize tasks.
Probably my favorite productivity website; turns being productive into a game. You start off with a level 1 character and set daily tasks, habits and to-dos for yourself. You are rewarded for completing tasks, gaining experience points and gold. You lose hit points for tasks you fail to complete.
Immensely huge cloud storage for notes and tasks. It’s a website, an app, and free software, and all of them can sync with each other.
Free online cloud storage. I keep all my school work in my dropbox so I never have to worry about losing another flash drive ever again.
White, Red, or Brown noise generator to eliminate distractions while working.
Create custom nature sounds to use as a focus or relaxation aide.
Similar to RainyMood, but with coffee shop sounds if that’s more your thing.
A tumblr blog about a cartoon owl that offers free advice.
Chat client where you can chat with peers about stresses and frustrations. Or, you can be the listener, and offer advice.

Apps (all are free unless stated otherwise; I’ve only provided the Android links but many of these are iPhone-friendly):
SCHOLLY ($0.99 USD)
ENORMOUS database of scholarships for students, sorted by a variety of categories.
An alarm clock for people who stubbornly refuse to wake up. Gives you tasks you have to complete to shut the alarm off.
Free ebook reader that’s a bit lighter weight than Google Books. Can be used with Google Books files, but it’s kind of a process.
Study timer
SIMPLY NOISE ($0.99 USD)

Google Chrome Extensions (I only use Chrome but I can look for Firefox equivalents if you need them):
STRICT WORKFLOW*
Formerly known as Strict Pomodoro, you can set it up to block certain websites for a period of time (default is 25 minutes) with breaks (default is 5 minutes)
Similar to Strict Workflow, but a bit more intense.
Generates pictures of models (nude or clothed) to practice gesture or figure drawing. Can be set up like a class, or so the photos are timed.
